Oregon Zoo welcomes baby orangutan
She looks so crazy with her baby ❤️ such a priceless thing to see …!.😁💕
The Oregon Zoo said 20-year-old Bornean orangutan Kitra provided birth to a brand-new baby today.
The orangutan was born upon Wednesday, at around 11 a.m.
Mom and baby are doing well in their behind-the-scenes maternity den, zoo officials claimed.
Kate Gilmore, who supervises the zoo’s primate location said: We’re all pretty excited about it. It’s fantastic to see Kitra taking such great treatment of her baby. There’s still a lot that might happen, so we’re being very cautious and providing her as much quiet time as possible.
And so much she appears to be taking to motherhood quite well.
Caregivers won’t recognize whether the newborn is male or women for a few weeks. And they are closely monitoring both to ensure everything remains to go well.
All God’s animals are beautiful and this mamma is so very loving. Pray all remains to work out! Congratulations to mamma and to the Oregon Zoo!👏👏👏.
Such love the mama gives their little one. ❤️.
The baby will certainly never know freedom either…!
For whatever reason, go to their all-natural habitat … and support wildlife cuz we’re ruining their homes also! Sending love, hugs and petitions to mother and her precious baby ❤️👏🙏🙏.
