They got the opportunity to see a female giraffe giving birth to her really first baby, and the entire lovely moment was caught on camera.

It was a few days after the giraffe gave birth, so nobody from the zoo staff actually expected the moment to come as early as it did.

But thanks to somebody that was lucky enough to witness the event when it happened and managed to record it as everything unfolded, we have an opportunity to see this amazing video footage. In the short footage, you can see a mom searching for the best location to deliver her little one.

And once the baby makes his way to the world, the mom’s solid instincts immediately begin to kick in and she assumes her role as a care supplier with the type of love and treatment only a mom can offer.

Fortunately, the child was completely healthy so the zoo keepers didn’t have to intervene, allowing the new mom and her child to spend time playing and enjoying each other’s beautiful company.
