Reward Increases To $25k For Information On German Shepherd Who Was Zip-Tied, Dumped In Malibu.

UPDATE: The reward has now reached $25,000 for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the cruel abuse and abandonment of Argon, the German Shepherd who was dumped in a canyon in Malibu two weeks ago.

Argon had zip ties wrapped around his mouth and neck when hikers thankfully found him. He was abandoned in a remote location near Malibu Creek on July 3rd in scorching degree heat.

A $5,000 reward was initially offered by Peace 4 Animals (P4A) and In Defense of Animals (IDA), but has increased due to the public’s support.

July 9th: Yesterday, WAN reported on a German Shepherd named Argon, who was horrifically abandoned near Malibu Creek on July 3rd, with zip ties wrapped around his mouth and neck.

Peace 4 Animals (P4A) and In Defense of Animals (IDA) have offered a $5,000 reward, with an additional $2,600 reward added today, bringing the total to $7,600 for the successful conviction of the individual responsible for the cruel abuse and abandonment of Argon.

The gentle and sweet German Shepherd was found by two hikers in Malibu who managed to remove the zip tie from his mouth before police and animal control arrived to remove the zip tie from his neck. Argon is currently being cared for at The Agoura Animal Care Center and is undergoing tests for possible Lymphoma.

July 8th: Peace 4 Animals (P4A) and In Defense of Animals (IDA) are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the cruel abuse and abandonment of a German Shepherd found in a remote area near Malibu Creek Canyon. This heart-wrenching incident occurred on the evening of July 3rd, 2024.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., two hikers discovered the distressed dog with his mouth zip-tied shut and another zip tie constricting his neck. The hikers swiftly called 911 and managed to remove the zip tie from his mouth before police and animal control arrived. Together, they freed him from the zip tie around his neck and carried him to safety.

The dog, described as sweet and gentle, gradually warmed up to his rescuers, allowing them to pet him and even eat from their hands. He has since been transported to the Agoura Animal Care Center, where he is receiving necessary care and attention.

“This cruel and heartless act of abandoning an innocent German Shepherd in scorching temperatures with his mouth zip-tied over the 4th of July weekend is reprehensible. The individual responsible must be swiftly and decisively brought to justice to the fullest extent of the law. The individuals who rescued the dog are deeply committed to ensuring his well-being and are eager to find him a loving home. Their dedication extends to seeking justice for the heinous act of cruelty he endured.
