Mother giraffe waits for tired newborn baby to show signs of life
A few lucky people seeing the Memphis Zoo located in Tennessee got to experience an unique moment that they will probably never forget. They got to see a female giraffe giving birth to her extremely first baby, and also the whole thing was caught on video!
The giraffe was just due a few days later, so no one from the zoo team actually expected the moment to come as early as it did. However thankfully someone that was lucky enough to witness the event when it happened managed to record it as everything unfolded.

In the extreme footage, you can see mom searching for the perfect place to deliver her offspring. And when the baby makes his entrance right into the world, mom’s powerful instincts begin to start and she assumes her role as a care provider with the type of love and care only a mother can provide. Thankfully, the baby was perfectly healthy so the zoo keepers didn’t have to step in. The allowed the new mother and her baby to spend time bonding and enjoying each other’s precious company.
