Neglected tiger cub gets saved from circus, makes an amazing recovery

It is unknown just how she ended up in such a terrible problem, but when Vicky Keahey, founder of Texas’ In-Sync Exotics Wild Animals Rescue and Educational Center, found her, Aasha was incredibly sick.

Signs of malnutrition were obvious as she weighed no more than 30 pounds, which must be the weight of a 3 months old cub, however she was almost nine.

Really concerned about Aasha’s incredibly poor condition, Vicky tried to find out what happened to her. “I asked how can a 9-month-old tiger be that small,” .

It ended up that the poor tiger cub became part of a traveling circus. And because she was kept in a cage with a larger animal, she had not been allowed to eat.

More than that, she got a skin infection called ringworm, however the lack of proper care only made the things also worst. So Vicky chose to take Aasha away and to look after her. Therefore, she was taken to an isolated enclosure at In-Sync Exotics.
