Much like human children, puppies require comfort, a stable diet, and adequate shelter. This poor baby ended up on the streets and had nobody to look after him. He was alone and totally closed down.

There was simply a puppy lying on the ground. Although he was breathing, there were few signs that he was alive. There was no sign of life at all. It was promised to the precious pup that his new human friends would certainly do all they could to look after him.

They put him into their car and still, he had no energy to move. His gorgeous soulful eyes looked at the rescuers as if he recognized they were going to help him. He just ran out energy left to fight for his life. It was time for the rescuers to fight for him.

Once the pup was securely in their treatment, they headed to the medical center. He declined to eat and was still too weak to move. The veterinarian decided he needed a full workup but first he desperately needed intravenous therapy.

With some fluids now on board, it was time to check him for parasites and any other problems. The pup was severely malnourished which result in anemia. This was why he was so weak.

During the rescue, one of the rescuers stayed with the pup. She fed him every hr by syringe because he was still too weak to stay up. When he initially tried it, he was not a huge fan, but with some gentle stroking and kind words, he began to consume. The little puppy required every calorie he could get!

The brave little puppy is still at the medical center but he’s making remarkable progress. He’s also eating all on his very own! We are so pleased for every little success.
