College Student Holds Dying Sanctuary Dog In Her Arms All Night So He Will Not Die Alone

We wish to be able to save every dog but realistically, it just isn’t possible. Janine Guido needed to take care of this problem when she met a canine called Watson. You see, she is the founder of Speranza Animal Rescue so she looks after many animals.

Watson was a homeless pit bull who was located in a park all alone in Philadelphia by a college student. After finding the dog, the student took him to an emergency vet since the puppy had sores all over his body, a tumor on his back leg and he was starving. The vet notified the student that Watson was past hope. He had cancer cells that was spreading and his time was limited.

Watson went from the vet’s office to a shelter in the area. The team at the sanctuary agreed that Watson can remain there to be as comfy as he could.

” I had a gut feeling that things weren’t going to be great the next day,”

Guido told the Dodo. “I really did not want to leave him alone. Not when he required me the most.” She did what she can to comfort him, collecting blankets and canine beds and maintaining him close. She spent the evening with Watson holding him as he slept.

” He slept like a rock all evening, cuddled as much as me so tight,” Guido said. “I wept myself to rest, and got up in tears also.”

Watson began pacing circles the following morning and he quit eating and drinking. Guido knew that he was close to passing away. She continued to support him in that hard time.

Soon, Watson passed away but he was loved, possibly the first time in his life.

” I’m just so thankful I was able to hold him limited for his last evening,” Guido claimed. “I was informing him how much he was loved– and that his life mattered. My heart is breaking, however I would not change a point.”
