Fisherman Sees Bald Eagle Swimming Towards His Boat, Lends Him A Hand

A fisherman used his net to capture a different kind of “fish” when he was out on his boat in Nanoose Bay in British Columbia, Canada. A young bald eagle was fighting to remain above the water and swam over to his boat requesting help.

Realizing the bird was sick and couldn’t fly away, the fisherman called in advance and the bird of prey was grabbed by Wild A.I.D. and after that transferred to the care of the good people at O.W.L. Orphaned Wild Animals Rehabilitation Society in Delta, B.C. where everyone is hopeful for a successful healing and release back to the wild. That’s a fishing trip to remember!
