News of this Illinois girl and the horse blew up on the news, however what’s so special regarding them? These 2 may seem like they have actually known each other for a long time but the fact is, they just met during a fateful encounter when driving.

They took one more route that day and happened to find this horse in a poor circumstance.

The teenage girl Kelsey was out on a drive with her mother on their trailer, going to their following swap meet. Nevertheless, on that day, Kelsey’s mom decided to take a different route than usual. It so happened that when they were driving down that roadway, they saw a horse resting on the side of it. They recognized that they needed to stop there and take a closer look.

The household immediately really felt worried after seeing the horse’s sorry state.

The horse looked so thin and was probably on the verge of death due to starvation. The most awful point they noticed was the whip marks on the horse’s body. That could do such a thing to this poor horse?

The fact that some people did this to this horse is simply beyond shocking. Maybe her previous handlers thought they could not benefit from the horse anymore, so they decided to just dispose her on the side of the road. Though, Kelsey and her mom guessed that the horse could have escaped from her abusive owners to look for food.

They tried coaxing the poor horse right into their trailer, but it was no good

Whatever they did, they just couldn’t get the horse inside their trailer. However since Kelsey was determined to rescue the passing away horse, she insisted on her concept– to walk the horse back home.

It’s the only logical thing to do however Kelsey’s house was still 9 miles away. Still, Kelsey knew that it was the right thing to do, therefore she remained to walk the horse house. They got to after 4 hrs of walking, and the family immediately prepared to nurse the poor horse back to health.

In the end, they had the ability to rescue the horse

The horse slept for five days, stressing Kelsey and the rest of her household. Kelsey would certainly stay in the barn during, praying that they could rescue the horse. Kelsey’s prayer came true, and she ended up waking up to a healthy and thankful horse thanks to their efforts.

She called her horse Sunny, and Sunny also took Kelsey as her brand-new mother as she started staying in this caring environment.

The interviewer asked her, “What maintained you going that whole way that you were walking?”

To which Kelsey humbly responded:

” I think simply the concept that a life’s a life’ and no matter just how small it is, she needed to be rescued.”

It was an admirable response, and this idea would not possibly go across other individuals’s minds when they are in the same situation.

“My pain wasn’t comparable to what she remained in herself,” she added.
