National Mill Dog Rescue took in a scared little Chihuahua with huge, floppy ears from a puppy mill where she spent three-and-a-half years of her life giving birth to litter after litter. It was her only objective in life, and she would certainly never felt the cozy touch of a human.
She was frightened and didn’t know what was taking place, and she pressed herself right into the corner of her kennel.
So a volunteer chose to spend some time with her and let her know whatever was going to be alright. Harleigh was so terrified that it was heartbreaking, but the calming would be a gamechanger. She dug her claws into him as a brand-new phase in life began.
When one more puppy mill survivor, Harley, joined them, it helped even more. They all embraced one another, and significant progress was being made! The volunteer then sat to see if Harleigh would certainly come over to him. It ‘d take a while and patience, but the wonderful woman showed that she wanted to be near him and approached!
Every one of this happened within simply the first hour. When the volunteer left, Harleigh came to be frightened once more. They knew it would certainly take a while to change her mentality for good, and all the hard work would certainly deserve it in the end. However what a precious beginning!
