Tim Jansen van Vuuren was leading a group through the MalaMala Game Reserve in Kruger National Park in South Africa when he made an uncommon sighting; Right there before his eyes was a rare pink baby elephant!

The coloring is thought to be triggered by leucism, a condition that creates a partial loss of pigmentation and is different than albinism.

The safari ranger felt like he was in a children’s film when he happened to come throughout the calf. The mammal, the tiniest of the herd at no older than two-or-three weeks at the time, was bordered by her family as she excitedly frolicked and also played in the sea of green grass. It was really a view to behold, and thankfully it was caught on video for all to see!.
