5 month old Nora Hall suffered a disastrous stroke, causing serious brain damage.
It was after that determined that she was born with pulmonary high blood pressure. She didn’t have long to live. She was placed in a medically caused coma for the next three weeks.
In Nora’s 5 short months, she had won the hearts of her 2 canines, Basset Hounds Gracie and Grumpy. “Gracie, specifically, took on the role as second mom,” Mary Hall told ABC News. “Whenever Nora would weep, Gracie would run to see what was wrong. She was always, always by Nora and kissing her and making sure she was OK.”
As the family prepared to allow Nora go, The Kid’s Hospital in Minneapolis asked the family if there were any type of last wishes. Nora’s moms and dads emphatically said “Yes.” They wished to know if their 2 canines can say a final goodbye to their baby girl.
” I asked, ‘If you could let us have our dogs [at the hospital], we ‘d really appreciate that,'” Hall said. “I didn’t intend to go home and have them sniffing about for her and not knowing where she went. They decreased the bed so the dogs could lay with her and Gracie ran up and licked her.”.
” It was truly nice,” Mary claimed. “It brought us a lot of comfort.”.
Gracie and Grumpy continue to comfort their family each and every day. Rest in peace, sweet Nora. Sl.
