Alex’s dream came to life when he rode around Busch Stadium in the Budweiser Clydesdale hitch as part of the St. Louis Cardinals’ opening day event.

Alex smiled from ear to ear as he waved to baseball followers, family, and buddies, relishing every moment of the trip. “It was the best day ever,” he later on informed his mother. What really mattered was that Alex was suffering a quickly spreading brain tumor, and when the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted him a wish, he wanted something special involving his love of horses.

While many people will just dream of meeting the Budweiser Clydesdales, the Clydesdales assisted in making one small boy’s fantasy a reality. It was the nicest feeling I ‘d ever before had, and I couldn’t quit smiling as I watched Alex wave to the crowd.
