Cotillion rapidly gave birth to two kitties. When the kitties were nearly two weeks old, the San Diego Humane Society reached out to Gothro about a litter of 4 orphaned kittens with no one to look after them.
Gothro hoped Cotillion might increase these abandoned babies as her own, however she bewared. She kept them in another room till she could be sure.
As soon as the kittens showed up, Cotillion heard their faint weeps and began looking for them. She seemed worried for their safety and, as soon as she located them, she began nursing the beginners right together with her own babies.
” Cotillion didn’t get overwhelmed by the sudden tripling of her nursing load,” Gothro told The Dodo. “She seemed overjoyed to have them.”
Gothro, who has fostered lots of cats, said that not all of them are especially motherly. Cotillion, however, is unique. She really looks after the babies. She keeps them close, she retrieves them if they wander too far and she plays hide and seek with them.
” It has been a blessing to the 4 bonus babies, that were fortunate enough to be raised by a cat, and not strictly by a human,” Gothro claimed. “I think that makes the kitties become well-adjusted cats.”
When the kittens are more powerful they’ll all be available for fostering through San Diego rescue company, SPOT. Cotillion will certainly be available for adoption there, also.
Until then, they will certainly all be safe and pleased, enjoying their newly found family.
